Joaquim Oliveira is a partner in the areas of Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Corporate Law and Governance at Cescon, Barrieu, Flesch & Barreto Advogados.
He has frequently been recognized as one of the main lawyers in Brazil by Chambers and Partners and The Legal 500. Currently, he is the managing partner at the firm.
He represents banks and other foreign and domestic financial institutions, investment funds and private equity funds, foreign and domestic companies and other investors in public offering transactions, issuance of debentures, issuance of bonds, structured financings, mergers and acquisitions, sale of assets and joint ventures in various segments of the economy.
He holds a degree in Law from Universidade de São Paulo (USP) and a Master’s degree in Law (LL.M.) by the Law School of the University of Michigan. He was an international associate at a major New York law firm between the years of 1998 and 1999.
