A-6 energy auction likely to be hotly disputed, with wind farms and gas-fired plants predominating

News — August 31, 2018

He noted that the rules of this tender will favor thermal plants such as Eneva’s, to the detriment of large undertakings such as Prumo Logística, which has 2.3 gigawatts available, since the requirement for distributors to buy all the energy from the last plant to be contracted in the auction has been dropped, and it is less likely that large projects will be viable in a low-demand scenario.
